Prohibited Items

While we’re proud to recycle a wide range of metals and materials, certain items are prohibited due to safety concerns, environmental regulations, or legal restrictions. To keep our team and customers safe — and to comply with Oklahoma state laws — please review the list of materials we cannot accept before visiting and avoid a deduction in your payment.

If you're unsure about an item, feel free to contact us — we're happy to help!

Common prohibited items include but not limited to:

No Hazardous Materials

  • Paint, chemicals, oils, or flammable liquids

  • Asbestos or contaminated scrap

No Pressurized Containers

  • Propane tanks

  • Fire extinguishers, aerosol cans

No Radioactive or Medical Waste

  • Biohazard items

  • X-ray film, syringes, medical equipment

No Sealed Drums or Tanks

  • Any container that hasn’t been cut open and cleaned

No Stolen Property or Items with Ownership Risk

  • Shopping carts

  • Utility company property (cable wire, street signs, etc.)

  • Manhole covers, guardrails, or public property

Why Are These Items Restricted?

Many prohibited materials pose risks such as:

  • Fire or explosion hazards

  • Environmental contamination

  • Damage to equipment

  • Legal liability for both you and us

We follow all city, state, and federal guidelines to ensure proper handling of recyclable materials — and we appreciate your cooperation.
